Was finishing up the front end on the 1855 today after moving each side out 5". Got looking at the stops on the bottom of the down tubes and when the wheels are turned all the way in either direction the stops that are cast into the spindles don't come anywhere close to touching the one welded on the down tubes. What's up with that? Now I know why we used to bend the outer tie rods on the other front end that was under it.

I know what you mean. My 1750 will actually go a little past center on the steering arm, and then you got to go the other way to get it to go back to where it will steer again. There's just not enough stop there.

I mean mine doesn't even come close. If working in really lose dirt and you try to steer all the way in one direction or the other the inner tire will start to plow dirt and we actually have to stop and backup up a little bit to get it back where it should be. Like you said, it will go past center. Maybe before we repaint this one I will crank wheels all the way in both directions and weld a little piece of 1/2" flat to the original stops and put a end to that.
