A neighbor has a 1655 with dead Holley D2563-AA distributor. They were also used on 1750 & 1850 engines as well. I thought I was doing him a favor by sending him to the AGCO dealer for a Mallory points-type replacement but they are no longer carrying them. So I called Mallory for him and was told that Mallory no longer makes them. Will the Delco # 1112632 used in the 1600 and 1800 fit? He would lose the tach drive and vacuum advance but he doesn't care. What have you guys been doing when your old Holley quits? Thanks! |

From what I can see, it would work. The 1600 used crankcase 155119AS, and that part number was used in the 1650 and 1655 gas models as well. 1800 C and up used the 1112632 distributor. I didn't realize that the Mallory was no longer available. That's what we had been doing, was replacing with that distributor. |
