I replace the fluids in my 1850 and now the first four gears keep slipping out of gear. I push in the cluch and place the shifter in netual and pull it back in gear and it takes off again, then stops. After a while when it warms up it stops. Any Ideas??

Do you mean all the gears in the one neutral? First guess is the nut is loose on the imput shaft.

I should have added or the bearing adjustment on the top shaft is way off. It has been a while since I looked at one.

If it happened right after your drained and refilled the T/FD then I'd bet your did not follow the procedure in the Operator's Manual.

I don't have an operators manual, what should I have done?

I doubt you did anything wrong. I would guess you added the oil through the opening in the PTO gear case and checked the level located in the same gear case. How much oil did it take? Remember when you shift gears you do not move gears, you move shifting collars and if there is too much end play in the top shaft it will slip out of gear. Have you checked the end play in the top shaft. Are these four gears all in the low range.

Huh? Adding lube in the PTO gear case and checking it there is EXACTLY what he did wrong. It means the T/FD is less than 1/2 full. Read the manual.

The PTO transmission and final drive all fill through the fill plug in the back. Where does your manual say to fill it?

Yes it is all the low gears that slip out.
And I did fill from the plug in the back.
Can you tell me where I might get a manual. And where I would check the end play? So but this is my first Oliver and i don't know that much about it. I do have the parts book. And the local Agco is where I been getting my information. Help

Send email to fchs@fiai.net. They are the only source of original Oliver operator's, service, and parts manuals.

Where should I have filled it from and where do I check the level?
