Just an update on my project. Can you tell by the emoticon that I am "giddy as a school boy in love". The project is done and my girl is working like a charm! What a feeling to do it "mostly" by yourself. I appreciate all the input. | ||

So what did you find in there exactly? As I have said before, have lost under and have lost over and under, lost them all on the 4-210, but have never lost just direct before. | ||

I may not use correct terminology, but here goes: The inside "teeth" on the direct drive disks were completely gone, thus the metal filings in the oil. The back plate was terribly gouged and need replacing. I bought the updated drive shaft and disks to go along. Also and adapter plate was needed, a bearing on the new shaft, plus O-Rings. Around $1300.00 in parts, but the engine was rebuilt 2 years ago, along with the clutch, and front end. She is almost a new tractor. | ||

Glad to hear you got it going. I really enjoy working on those over/unders. I don't like it when they break, but when you do have to work on them, they fit on a workbench where you can get at everything easily. You said this was out of a G-850? Got any pictures you can share with us. You don't see them yellow Olivers very often. | ||

All I see in their ad is hay tools. But I see one at Spoor and Parlin. I skimmed through A the first time around and didn't see it. Thanks for the heads up. | ||
