Oliver 77 ignition wiring

Author Message   gary lee Posted on Monday, April 25, 2005 - 2:10 pm:    Hi All, wondering if anyone can tell me the ignition wire firing order for my Oliver 77. my cows chewed all the wires off so i'm not even sure which plug on the cap is number one. I'm planning on turning the motor over till i get compression on the number one cylinder then get it to top dead center and then pull the cap and go from there. if anyone has any extra advice (other then to keep the cows away) i would appreciate it.   Tom Anderson Posted on Monday, April 25, 2005 - 5:10 pm:    4-25-05 Gary, According to a manual I have, the firing order for a 77 is 1-2-4-3 for 4 cylinders and 1-5-3-6-2-4 for 6-bangers.
