Mark.. I just looked up some data for you. Others will have to help. It says that it came with the GM 4-53. The only info on telling the series I could find was the serial numbers.
Model 1900 Series A
1960 90532 to 111022
1961 111028 to 117374
1962 118356 to 124372

Model 1900 Series B
1962 124396 to 126355
1963 128422 to 135430

Model 1900 Series C
1963 138440 t0 140066
1964 141168 to 148651

All of the 1900's were 2 cycle GM 4-53 diesels. The front axle can get expensive if one of the CV joint/axles break. But other than that, parts are readily available for pretty much everything on the tractor.

Front wheel assist became available with the introduction of the B series, so it won't be an A series.
An easy way to tell the series (1800 and 1900) apart:
A series have only a decal along the engine side panels. This decal has a checkerboard look to it. The throttle is under the steering wheel.

B series have a raised white panel with the word Oliver and the model number on it. Throttle is under the steering wheel.

C series also have the raised panel, but the throttle was moved to the right side of the dash. This was to accomodate tilt steering.
