I have an Oliver 1450 and understand that since it was only made for 3 years due to having too many problems, it is very difficult to find parts for it. (My 1450 is running great right now but could use some parts to bring it closer to original). Are there other models of Oliver or other brand of tractor that parts might fit the 1450?. I am in need of a primary fuel pump to feed the main injector pump. (currently using an off the shelf electric pump to do the job). I also need a shim kit or rebuild kit for the steering gear box since it has a lot of play in the steering and all of the adjustment is used up. Would like to find an original air cleaner (the one that sits above the hood cowling). I would also like to find a source for cylinder sleeves, piston rings, crank & rod bearings and full gasket set for future use since 2 cylinders are a little weaker than the other 2. I think I would like to keep this tractor for some time since it is running so good. Can someone tell me what some of the problems were with this model and how I might prevent having similar ones myself. Thanks Richard. |
