would like to find a replacment grille for our 2255, which is lighter than the original cast iron grille. anyone know of such athing in fiberglass ,plastic, etc. have given somethought to copying it out of wood , but lots of time involved there. thanks |

A book I have written by an Oliver engineer states that cast iron grilles were used to add both strength and weight. Seems like a bad idea to replace it with anything else. Most shops use a hoist to get them on and off, a loader bucket works well too. |

true , but we need to loose some weight off the front end for tractor pulling . with the V8, the castiron bath tub and the grille we are way to heavy on the front |

I have seen a few nice grilles made out of wood. I think that they were all homemade, but one or 2 of them, you'd never know the difference. |
