When it rains it pours sometimes. Now my 1755 has a engine oil leak. Baling hay today, my 1755 started leaking oil. It is coming from the dashboard area, leaking out on the righthand side down by the battery. Has this happened to anybody like this? I haven't got into it yet, but what might it be and what should I be looking for? It is engine oil, when I shut it off, it had used 2 quarts in about 20 minutes. Thanks.

Probably when you had the motor out, something happend to the copper line that goes up to the oil pressure gauge. I'd just replace the copper line and ferruels (spelling??) and you should be back in business. Any hardware store should have what you need at a reasonable price. |

After a few times replacing copper lines I started using the nylon lines and slid a piece of vacuum hose over the entire length. No chance of kinking it and the hose keeps it from ever rubbing a hole in it. |

Well, I fixed the problem today. The implement store told me $71.00 for that copper line. Napa sold it to me for $2.86! I am not kidding. I appreciate the advice on a hardware store Chris, and by the way, it was my G-850 that had the motor out. I have two tractors that are exactly the same except color. |

My mistake. I was assuming that you were working on the same tractor. And we know what assuming does. Glad I could help out. $71.00 is way too much for a little copper line. |
